The Second Chance This movie stars Christian singer
and song writer Michael W. Smith and Jeff Obafemi Carr.
The Associate Pastor at the Rock
is Pastor Jenkins son, Ethan, who is a gifted author, song writer and
musician.
Ethan is not as politically savvy as senior Pastor
Jeremiah and his lack of skill in handling sensitive issues gets him assigned
to the
Second Chance to observe and learn.
It is at
Second Chance
that he realizes that the Gospel is more than broadcasting a message and
planting churches around the world.
He also learns that the pastor of
Second Chance
might be a better disciple of his father than he.
He finds that ministry at
Second Chance
goes far beyond preaching and singing, and requires a hands-on approach, a
living of the Christian life before the congregants and would be
congregants, and involves far less attention and praise from the media.
The experience also brings to light that
The Rock
board of directors
see the property of
Second Chance
as resource for funding its missions around the world, and have no concern
for body of people comprising
Second Chance. Second Chance saw limited release
in 2006 and is now available on Luke Luke 20:46-47 (KJV)
Beware of the scribes, which desire to
walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the
highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts; {47}
Which devour widows' houses, and for a show make long prayers: the
same shall receive greater damnation. |
