Jesus
As I Understand It  (Scripture Study)

Psalms 119:41-42 (NIV) 41 May your unfailing love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise; 42 then I will answer the one who taunts me, for I trust in your word.

We are all taunted. There is nothing special that makes me subject to taunting.

{Revelation 13:7-8 (KJV) 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.}

Because of His love can I successfully respond to his taunts. Your word makes me an overcomer.

{1 John 4:4 (KJV) 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.} OTHER SCRIPTURES TO SEE: Romans 12:21; 1 John 2:13-14}

If not for the Love of God, I would be a victim in Satan's war between God. God cares for me. Satan does not. Satan's goal is to punish God, and harming me is the only way he can do that. And to harm me he must successfully encourage me step out from under God's shelter.

{Psalms 61:3-4 (KJV) 3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. 4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.}
