We Are Losing Our Minds?
This transgendered beast is new. We do not know how long it will be around, whether the presentation will change or morph into identification with persons of different ages, or with other species. A person may feel a kinship with turtles, or a man of 40 years of age may identify as a boy of 15.--does the statutory rape law apply if I really believe I am 15? How much credence do we give to self identification as opposed to what has been observed and accepted for centuries? Why must we all pee together?
The term Transgender applies to a person who self- identifies as a member of the opposite sex. In the mind of the beholder, all the genetic equipment appears to be wrong. And to right this perceived wrong we allow the person to associate in society as a member of the sex they believe they should have been, or sex they believe they are. Now what you or I see does not apply. The only thing of importance is what the beholder believes. So a three-year-old boy who identifies as a girl would be allowed to use Girls restrooms regardless of how this might affect real three-year old girls using the same Girls restroom. The same three-year-old might also participate with other three-year-old girls in sleep-overs. At three, there is little impact.
But preteen or teen boy who identifies as a girl would probably not be invited to a girls sleep-over. And a preteen or teen boy who identifies as a girl using a Girls restroom would pose privacy concerns. He could certainly make the girls using that restroom uncomfortable, an argument many transgendered individuals have made to support their use of restrooms designated for the opposite sex.
The offensive portion of the North Carolina law simply states that a person must use the restroom that corresponds to their gender identity. Why does this offend? The law simply states what we have all understood since birth, males use restrooms marked men or boys and women use restrooms marked women or girls. The uproar over the law only illustrates how important it is to codify what is understood.
Will she still identify as male fifteen years from now? Will she still want to use the mens restroom? Will she no longer identify as male and still want to use the mens restroom?
When a 260 pound man walks into the men's room no one inspects him to confirm his maleness and that he has made the correct choice--no one confronts him. If he is wearing a dress or some other article of womens clothing or otherwise appears to be a woman some may have concern. Now consider that he walks into the ladies room imagine your 5 year-daughter is in there.
Does the designation of transgender allow for the uncertainty of youth? Does it allow for the uncertainty of the person making the claim at any age?
Romans 1:21-32 KJV
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they wich commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
