hoarding and plunder continue
Blind to the plight of their neighbors and the world around
them
Blind to the suffering around them
they march on with frat-boy zeal refusing to participate in
the recovery of their nation
choosing rather to flaunt their apart-ness with even
greater displays of hubris
With no evidence of success in managing the finances of
the world
they continue granting to themselves more bonuses
to assure their retention and our doom
Believing they have built themselves safe havens with their
ill-gotten funds
they fail to recognize that as the entire world crumbles from
their mismanagement
there is will soon be no safe place to flee
With all their funds they must live amongst us in this
crumbling world
