The Thing About God that He knows.  So there is no harm in honest discussion.

He knows what I really like.  Even when my desire appears to be out of reach, or not suited for me, or me for it.  Therefore I don't have to lie to myself when desires go awry. I am free to be in touch with my feelings.

Although all thoughts may not be pleasing, there is no condemnation from God.  Rather, there is honest confession that "This is me.  As wrong as I maybe, You must change me."

I can tell Him, even when your knowledge would bring embarrassment.  And in confession, there is change.

Deuteronomy 30:2-5 (NIV) 2and when you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I command you today, 3then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you. 4Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the LORD your God will gather you and bring you back. 5He will bring you to the land that belonged to your fathers, and you will take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers.
