Democrats and Republicans
Donít know how it started but they have waged war between themselves for many years now. Whatever one wants, the other opposes. There is no logic to it.
The Christian right has recently lined up behind a Mormon, and now a man who proclaims it good business to stiff his creditors even as he boasts that he has plenty to pay them. And of course they hate Secretary Clinton, calling her corrupt and the facilitator of a womanizer. I donít know how corrupt she is. She is a great debater but not the sharpest knife in the drawer judging from her votes on critical issues, Bernie Sanders had that one right. With regard to her husband, she says she loves him so she took her churches counsel and forgave him and together they maintained their vows. Its odd that Christians would fault her here.
They are both flawed, but all we have at this point. So, does the Bible give any applicable advice?
Let's talk fruit. It is the only area where God allows us to judge.
Matthew 7:16-18 says; 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
They each have track records. And each is likely to keep living as they have always lived. It seems simple. Regardless of who wins they will have astute advisors, we all hope. So who would you rather have as a next door neighbor?
